Vulnerability Assessments allow an organization to receive a truly independent evaluation of their risk against all manner of crimes and disasters. Effective security relies on layers of systems, procedures, and personnel. In order to test the effectiveness of these systems, our assessors use their first-hand knowledge of threat tactics and techniques to identify areas of potential vulnerability in the same manner that a potential adversary might prepare for an attack.
The task of improving the safety and security of educational institutions in particular presents its own unique challenges. Although improved security measures would benefit most schools, colleges and universities, they must still be able to operate as places of learning, which requires any recommended strategies to be both practical and cost effective. Campus security should therefore be approached with a different mindset.
